I believe we can all agree that we had another great General Conference. What a joy it is to listen to our Saviors chosen Apostles. This time it was a little different for us not being able to watch it in the comfort of our own home and in our p.j.s. For the Saturday sessions we went to an Internet Café and watched it online, but we can’t complain about being able to go snorkeling in between sessions. That’s something we weren’t able to do back in Utah.
Last Sunday I asked the Branch President if I could do Conference Bingo with the kids to help them to stay quiet and pay attention to the talks, and he loved the idea. So throughout the week I got everything ready for it. Although there were only 4 kids that came with their families to watch conference, they all paid attention and had fun playing.
I took a lot of things for granted living in Utah. We never knew how much we would miss going to the temple each month. What a blessing it is to live by 5 temples within a 20 minute drive. Members in our Branch have to save up money to fly to Miami so they can go to the temple. It has been a humbling experience and taught us to be more thankful for the opportunity we have to attend the Temple.
