Paradise

Our first week here in Grand Cayman has been great! This week we have both been working at Cariloha, its the store where everything is made out of bamboo. The people we work with are so wonderful, they are all so kind and welcoming. They are mostly from Jamaica. There is a veterinarian school down here and we have made new friends with some of the students that attend there. We are all about the same age and they are LDS as well. We had a BBQ with them the other night on the beach, it was a blast.

On our day off we went to the beach, laid out, road our rides around town, and relaxed. I will say I am not missing the cold weather back in Utah.

There is one branch here on the island, there is about 90 members that attend each week. They don't take their time getting us involved in the branch. Today we gave the opening and closing prayer in sacrament meeting and were called to teach Sunday school together to the youth. Since the church is on the other side of the island, members take turns coming to pick us up.

We were missing home, and since we didn't build a snowman this winter because of the lack of snow, we build a sandman here instead.

We had a video of our apartment, but it wouldn't upload, so we are going to try to figure it out and have it on our next post. Until then... Chau
